We offer a fleet of box cars designed to meet the needs of a variety of industries and commodities. Typical products carried include pulp and paper, canned goods, manufactured parts (such as automotive parts), and forest products. Box cars can be offered for lease on either a term or per diem basis.

Covered hopper cars are designed for carrying loads which require protection from the weather, and vary in sizes generally from 3,000 cubic feet to 6,200 cubic feet. Products are loaded through top hatches and unloaded through gates at the bottom of the railcar. Typical commodities loaded in covered hoppers include sand, cement, grain and other agricultural products, potash, soda ash, and plastic pellets.

52’ and 66’ mill gondola railcars are designed to transport scrap metals, steel ingots, sheet steel, pipes and other metal products unaffected by weather.

Coiled steel gondola cars are specifically designed for transporting steel coils. The cars can also be equipped with covers to protect the coiled steel products during transit.

Intermodal cars are built to carry general merchandise either in containers or trailers. Intermodal cars are built to varying sizes and configurations to carry 20’ and 40’ international containers, as well as 53’ domestic containers.

Open top hopper cars for aggregate service are sized at 2,400 cubic feet and are designed to transport aggregates, crushed rock (including limestone) and gravel, serving various construction industries.

Tank Car

We offer a variety of general-purpose tank cars for the transport of hazardous and non-hazardous liquid commodities or solids which are liquefied prior to unloading. Tank cars can be equipped with coils and insulation to assist with unloading, and can be lined for protection of the tank shell or product purity. We also offer tank cars designed for the transport of pressurized commodities such as LPG.

Typical general-purpose tank cars are sized from 20.0K gallons to 30.5K gallons, while pressure cars are designed to carry 33K gallons.

Tank cars can be configured with a variety of top fittings and loading and unloading valves to meet specific shipping requirements.
